30 day results!

Ok SO I got on the scale this morning and got a little discouraged. I lost 1.1 pounds in this first 30 days of Burn Circuit. I could not believe it.. I feel like I lost more than that for sure! BUT I know that my clothes are loser and I feel stronger so before I get worked up I went ahead and took my measurements. This is how it broke down.

Right Thigh - 21 down to 20 inches
Left Thigh - 21.5 down to 20.5 inches
Left Arm - 12 down to 11.5 inches
Right Arm - 12.5 down to 12 inches
Waist - 34 down to 33 inches
Chest - 37.5 no change
Abductor - 40 down to 39.5 inches
Hips - 40.5 down to 40 inches

So even though I only saw a small loss on the scale I lost 5 inches total on my body!!! In 30 days!! I also read up on the program again and noticed that most of the loss will come in the last 30 days. So I am going to stick with it and possible add more ab work to each workout. I love the standing abs in turbo jam so I am going to add that 10 mins on to my workouts. So goodbye to those 5 inches and I look forward to NEVER seeing you again. (I also had to buy a size smaller in jeans last week, which I forgot to mention) Hells YEAH!!

Push circuit is described as focusing more on one muscle group at a time with even heavier weights to push your muscles to the max. (which I thought I was doing already). So wish me luck for the next 30 days! I am SO determined to finish this off with amazing results.. talk to you in a few!!

One more week!

So I have totally been slacking on my postings... BUT I will try to sum up the last week. I have been not feeling the greatest, but I have not missed a single workout! I noticed the workouts getting easier and I have to add weight already! This is amazing cuz when I started I was not able to lift that heavy. I now need 15 pounds & 10 pounds for most of the exercises and I could use 20 for the exercises that include two lower body exercises. I am really amazing! I also started seeing some changes in my body the last few days. My arms are leaner, thighs are leaner and I am showing more muscle definition in my shoulders, which always looks sexy! I am so addicted to this workout now that I am seeing the changes. I loved it before but after a weekend of my hubby not being able to take his hands off me... I AM LOVING IT! There must be changes going on cuz he definitely noticed!

This week is my final week of burn circuit and I am excited to start a new set of DVDs for the push circuit. I get to weigh and measure on Sunday. I will SO be posting that!! I am excited and a little nervous about it. I know the inches came off, but not sure about what the scale will say... me and the scale are not very close friends. He really ticks me off a lot so I try to avoid him.

So I am here to tell you that lifting heavy does not cause you to bulk up.. it is a myth!! I am proof of it so far! Start adding weights and you will be amazed!!! Talk to you in a couple days!!

Week 2

So it has been a few days since I last posted. I am starting week 2 of CX and the soreness is finally going away!! Sunday was a rest day... well I went for a 1 hour walk with my mom so I didn't exactly rest:) Yesterday was Burn Circuit 1... sweat my butt off again and tried to go a little heavier, if I used 8 I went up to ten and it was difficult! Body was shaking! I ate ok the last few days. This is def the part I can work on. I tend to snack too much. Today was suppose to be a rest day, BUT I went to Shake N Shed fitness this morning for the 5:45 Turbo Jam class and it was SO fun! I did NOT like the mirrors... seriously yuck, but whatever that will change. I saw every bulge when I was working out which made me mad so I pushed it a little harder! ARRR! Minnow is an awesome instructor and very motivating. I would love to go again on my off day. So today I am going to enjoy the fact that it is 9 am and I have my workout in, house partially cleaned already & I can actually sit and snuggle with Jaxon while he watches some cartoons:) Oh and have a cup of coffee.. yum yum!

Day 4

Burn Intervals.... Holy crap! That workout was insane. I don't know if it was harder because my muscles were SO sore or if it is going to be that hard next week. I was supposed to do ab burner after it (10 mins) and I could not get my muscles to cooperate! My body was tired. Intervals is 45 mins with warm up and cool down, but it is intense. You switch between cardio for a minute and a half to lifting light weights for a min and a half. The idea is muscle duration in this workout instead of muscle failure after 10-12 reps like the circuit workouts. So for the minute and a half you are lifting light weight on the same muscle the whole time.. can I tell you that 3 pounds felt like a hundred by the end of the minute and a half. I am wondering when the soreness will go away! I know it is good cuz I am TOTALLY building muscle. I ate good today... until hubby got home last night with snacks..KICK HIS BUTT. But I am pretty sure I burned enough calories to cover it! Today is burn circuit 3... can't imagine doing a lunge right now, BUT once I get loosened up it is better.. YIKES!

Day 3

So day 2 was a rest day and day 3 was Burn Circuit 2... all I can say is OUCH! My legs and butt and back were shaking SO bad! This workout targeted my lower body, squats lunges, triceps (ouch), biceps & back. It was 37 mins (including warm up & cool down) but it went by fast again today. My legs were shaking and I def hit failure with my legs today within 10 reps but tried to push to 12. My muscles are really tight. I can tell I worked them hard. I ate pretty good today. I went to bk with my mother in law and had a veggie omelet, shakeology for lunch (blended with water & ice) & some homemade soup for dinner again (have to eat it before it goes bad) plus it is SO good. Day 4 brings me some cardio so I am excited about that. Push forward!! I am the decider of my future.. do I want to lull through it or be a rock star!!

Day 1

Ok so I started Chalean Extreme yesterday. I weighed myself in at 154.6, but I could not find my tape measure so I will update the measurements once I get to the store to buy a new one. I am also going to take some before pics, yuck, but necessary to see what changes I make to my body. Enough of that...

I did Burn Circuit 1. My body was SHAKING and SWEATING when I was done. It pushed my muscles, what muscle I have right now. I really liked it because it went by fast and the moves were easy.. nothing fancy. I used 8-10 pounds for all of the moves, which was plenty of weight to start off. I did really good eating, a piece of toast for bkf, PB shakeology for lunch & homemade chicken soup for dinner. So today is supposed to be a rest day, but I may do a little Turbo Jam cuz I have a feeling I am going to miss those workouts! All in all, day 1 was good and my muscles are VERY sore today! I can tell I worked them hard and that is a good feeling:) Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Getting Ready

Hey everyone. I am getting ready to start a new workout program, Chalean Extreme, which I am totally pumped about. I am new to blogging so hang in there. I plan on posting what workout I did, how I feel and how I ate each day for 90 days! I am hoping that this will keep my motivation and maybe get others out there motivated. Feel free to join me with this workout. You can get it at my website http://www.beachbodycoach.com/JULIENEUENS.

So this is my story... I have struggled with my weight my entire life. After having each of my three wonderful kids I have had to work my butt off to lose the baby weight. My last baby is now 2 1/2 and I am ready to lose the weight for the last time. I purchased Chalean Extreme hoping that building muscle will help my metabolism so I can burn more cals when I am doing my cardio and even resting. So come along with me on my journey to a new healthier me!! I start my workout program on Monday August 30th. If you want to join me give me a shout:)
